Rapid Joint Cable Jointing Kit The Raytech Rapid Joint is a ready to use cable joint with radial closing, the half shell which is prefilled with a suitable gel with high electrical and sealing characteristics, simply snaps together to provide fast and easy installation. Suitable for the straight connection of any type of extruded, 0.6/1 kV cable, armoured or unarmoured (only with the addition of the armour continuity kit), copper or aluminium conductor, with compression or screw connectors. Rapid Joints have been tested in accordance with the main international specifications, also with repeated flexing and torsion tests and immersion in water. They have been declared to conform to the mechanical and sealing specifications required for plastic cable accessories. Both the joint and its components have no shelf life, are chemically inert and therefore completely safe to use. The connections are re-enterable even after long working periods. Made of self-extinguishing components, the joint is flame retardant.
